1. Focus
The National University of Frontera (UNF), through its Vice Presidency of Research, Research Management Directorate, and Publishing Fund, presents and makes available to the scientific and academic community and society its first issue of “AYPATE” Scientific Research Journal of the National University of Frontera (ISSN: 2961-2160). Since its launch, the journal has been published quarterly, with four issues per year.
Currently, AYPATE, Scientific Research Journal of the National University of Frontera, has deemed it appropriate to update certain aspects to improve editorial processes. Therefore, with its new ISSN 3028-9432, starting in 2025, the frequency will change to biannual, meaning two issues per year (January-June and July-December), in which original and unpublished articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese on topics that contribute to the development of science and technology will be accepted.
To ensure rigor and quality, the editorial process of AYPATE, Revista de Investigación Científica de la Universidad Nacional de Frontera applies blind peer review, thus responding to the criteria of relevance, originality, responsibility, and contribution to the scientific community, as well as complying with the ethical principles of research.
AYPATE, the Scientific Research Journal of the National University of Frontera, is firmly committed to originality and academic integrity in all its publications. We require that manuscripts submitted for our consideration be unpublished works that have not been previously disseminated or are in the process of evaluation in any other medium, regardless of their nature.

2. Theme and scope
AYPATE, Scientific Research Journal of the National University of Frontera, has the ultimate goal of disseminating knowledge through original results, products of scientific research that represent a contribution to the development of science and technology.
Our publication welcomes a variety of academic contributions, including empirical research articles, systematic review articles, instrumental articles, critical reviews, and other innovative formats, in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. Each contribution undergoes a thorough peer review process, thus ensuring the excellence and relevance of our content.
The objective of AYPATE, Scientific Research Journal of the National University of Frontera, is to serve as an accessible platform for the scientific community and society in general, promoting the transfer of knowledge with a positive impact on problem solving and the promotion of socioeconomic and environmental development.
The journal hopes to receive contributions that not only present original results and innovative methodologies, but also promote sustainable development and the improvement of social, economic, and environmental conditions at the regional and global levels.
